Selecting the proper factory in Asia is the key to success when sourcing custom engineered parts. This process can be extremely time consuming, expensive and very frustrating. Choosing the proper factory for each project is impossible to do unless several factories are visited and audited. When you work with Power Rite, you experience the benefit of working with experts with years of experience in sourcing components from Asia. Power Rite Asia representatives and engineers have been performing this function for decades. Our senior management is constantly traveling to Asia to continuously visit with and manage our Asian factories and staff

When a Power Rite employee audits a factory, we are trying to find the factory that is the best match for that specific project.

Following is a list of some of the key issues investigated during an audit:

  1. Study the core competencies of the factory.
  2. Does the factory have the experience to handle the project?
  3. Does the factory have the technical capability to handle the project?
  4. Does the factory have the capacity to handle the project?
  5. Does the factory have the proper equipment to handle the project?
  6. Does the factory have the QA / QC procedures in place to handle the project?
  7. Does the factory have the capitalization to handle the project?
  8. Does the factory have the management to handle the project?
  9. Does the factory have certifications, such as ISO, QS, etc.?
  10. Can the factory offer any suggestions for quality improvement?
  11. Can the factory offer any suggestions for cost reductions?
  12. What raw materials are being offered / are available?
  13. Does the factory have the willingness to support the customer's drive for continuous quality improvement and cost reduction?
  14. Can the factory offer reliable quality and delivery competitively?

These are some of the key questions our auditors try to answer when they visit a factory.
