While not all projects require tooling, many do. Proper tooling is a critical factor in the success of a project.

Tooling in Asia is extremely competitive compared to domestic tooling. Some factories have tooling made outside by professional tooling companies, but many Asian manufacturers make their own tooling in house. Since our customers often have a great deal of experience with their parts and design, Power Rite will often coordinate the tooling process with the engineers of the customer.

Besides the competitive pricing of the tooling, Asia offers another advantage. In most cases, the initial tooling cost is the only tooling cost ever incurred by the customer over the life of the project.

When tooling is completed and samples are prepared, the samples are sent to our New Brunswick office for inspection. In some cases, samples are sent to an independent laboratory for verification.

Samples are submitted to our customers, along with first article dimensional layout, material certifications and performance data (when required) tied to the samples.
